Course Overview 

Introductory course in 3D jewellery design using MATRIX 9 program.

After jewellery hand drawing, comes the stage of drawing using special 3D design programs, and printing them using 3D printers. Using these programs allow the designer to create his own design.

 

Course Outcomes

– Knowledge of the process of the 3D printing, and the supported file format

– Following the stages of the design, starting from the hand drawing to the final shape of the piece

–  Using the tools and measurement units

– Knowledge of the different types of stones and the ways of setting

– Draw different designs

– Anyone who has a strong interest in Jewellery Design

– Anyone who has a strong interest in 3D Design

– Anyone who wants to improve his jewellery designs

 

After the completion of the course students need intensive training and practice on drawing many different designs to be able to:

– Work from home for personal purpose

– Join any Jewellery industry

– Start their own business

 

 

Course Content

– General idea about the 3D printing, 3D drawing programs and the different approaches of drawing

– Knowledge of the stages of design, starting from hand drawing to the final shape of the piece

– Differentiate between the different types of stones and their setting

– Saving the file to be ready for printing

– Draw wedding rings and gem heads

– Draw necklaces, bracelets, names and rings with names

– Draw earrings and bracelets

– Draw men’s rings

– Prepare pieces for enamel
