Advanced Sewing Techniques

This course is designed for students with a background of operating a sewing machine and want to advance their sewing techniques. By the end of the course students will  learn how to:

• Sew all types of cosmetic seams, thin, wide and three quarters
• Sew all types of pockets: a two-piece pocket, a military pocket, and a hidden pocket
• Train on sewing different zippers (trousers zipper, hidden zipper, etc.)
• Train on making different kinds of collars and how to install them (military collar, shirt collar, etc.)
• Train on elastic installation for the waist and cuff

Outcomes

• Construct complete pieces: trousers, skirt, lined vest, and shirt
